The Linklaters Latin America Project Finance practice advises borrowers, arranging banks and other lenders, export credit agencies and sponsors across a wide range of sectors on the full spectrum of project financing transactions in Latin America. Drawing on the experience of the wider Americas Energy & Infrastructure practice (ranked Band 1), the team has advised on many of the most significant transactions in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay, among others. The team covers all aspects of the transaction value chain, including project financing (bank and bond) and project development, contract negotiation, acquisitions (and acquisition financings), divestments and joint ventures, across a wide spectrum of sectors, including: Infrastructure (water, ports, roads, airports, waste, transmission), Energy & Utilities (renewables, oil and gas, power), and other assets. The team offers native and fluent Portuguese and Spanish language capabilities under both New York and English law, coupled with a permanent on-the-ground presence in Brazil.
