We act for a wide range of industries and sectors and have established expertise in the real estate, consumer, construction and industrial , food and beverage and tech sectors. We act for these clients across a broad spectrum of litigation and arbitration and in the past 18 months, have been particularly busy with defending our clients on matters in relation to employment, tax and contractual issues.
Recent work highlights:
- Represented the client in its first major arbitration before Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) over construction contracts related to 7 disputes during the construction of an expressway project. The deal size is approximately USD 3.2m.
- Represented owners of the largest polyester manufacturing plant in Vietnam in an ICC arbitration in Singapore against the contractor.
- Represented a multinational dairy company in a tax dispute with the General Department of Customs, whereby the client was charged more than USD 17 million for supply contracts from New Zealand and Singapore suppliers.
- Represented a multinational beverage company in a labour proceedings of a disciplinary case regarding a violation of the labour discipline.
