Our team was recently involved in high profile matters for our innovative and creative approach, especially in cases the tax law is somewhat still unexplored.

Recent matters our team was involved:

·       Assistance to General Motors, the global automotive company, in defenses related to Infractions Notices issued by the Municipality of São Caetano do Sul for improper collection of ISS (municipal tax on the provision of services), derived from the exports of engineering services to a company located in the United States.

·       Assistance to Goodyear, the global tire manufacturer, in an administrative proceeding derived from a Tax Assessment Notice issued by the Federal Treasury Secretary related to lack of payment of Withholding Income Tax upon remittances abroad to its parent Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in the USA

·       Assistance to Nexa’s accounting and tax scenarios related to carbon credit operations in the Brazilian voluntary carbon market
