Mattos Filho has established a Crisis Management and Integrated Response group to provide more comprehensive services to clients dealing with complex critical emergencies.
A cross-sector team coordinates the group with expertise in crisis management and emergency response from the firm's Anti-Corruption Compliance and Corporate Integrity, Government Relations, Corporate Governance, Infrastructure, Environmental, Litigation, and White-Collar Crime practices.
Over the years, Mattos Filho provided crisis and legal advisory in the most relevant environmental problems taking place in Brazil, such as the disasters of Mariana-MG, Brumadinho-MG, and Maceió-AL. Our experience also includes providing legal and strategic advice to clients involved in severe reputational and institutional challenges of the political and institutional spheres, such as technology and telecommunications companies involved in the inquiry committees investigating the dissemination of fake news or discussions related to recent Brazilian elections.
