About
Provided by Mourant
Our Corporate and Finance team has an international reputation as one of the leading offshore banking and finance practices. We advise on the laws of the BVI, Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey and on which of these jurisdictions is the most appropriate for a particular transaction. We act for lenders, borrowers, arrangers, issuers, managers, trustees and other finance parties.
Our expertise extends to all aspects of finance transactions, including Islamic and fund financing. Fund financing in particular continues to be a growth area for our Jersey Corporate and Finance team.
Our firm's global presence and blue chip client base means that we continue to advise a wide range of banks, including some of the largest banks in developing markets such as China and Malaysia. The transactions we advise on will often require us to advise on the laws of more than one of the offshore jurisdictions in which we operate and we provide a seamless service across our jurisdictions.
Given the popularity of Jersey for holding companies and other investment structures, many billions of pounds are loaned to such structures under both existing loan facilities and new loan facilities. All of these facilities require Jersey legal input.
