Our practice covers the whole range of Hungarian and European competition and trade law issues. In particular, we focus on merger control, consumer protection and antitrust matters, including distribution models, strategies and agreements.
We offer practical legal advice and support during the entire process of a competition authority investigation, including "dawn raids" and investigations covering a particular industry or economic sector, as well as any potential litigation. The competition team at Oppenheim can offer merger control guidance throughout the whole acquisition process. We frequently participate in contract negotiations, the planning and due diligence phases of a transaction, and the following filing of notifications with the relevant authorities. Early on in a transaction, we can spot and offer advice on any merger control-related difficulties. This allows us to identify any potential issues accurately, deal with them appropriately, and equally eliminate any risks for all stakeholders.
