About
Provided by Roschier
Roschier's EU & Competition practice covers the full spectrum of EU and competition law. The attorneys regularly represent leading companies in complex EU and competition law matters, including international and national cartel and dominance investigations, as well as court proceedings, M&A-related competition law, private enforcement, compliance programs and self-assessment of cooperation agreements. In addition, the practice has a focus on state aid and public procurement, as well as other areas of EU law and business regulation.
The broad industry experience is a strength: the team is regularly involved in matters related to, inter alia, the energy, forestry, pharmaceuticals, health care, transport, media and telecom, retail and agriculture sectors.
M&A-related competition law is a key area for the practice. Efficiently integrated with the firm’s market-leading transaction and corporate practice, the team advises on all competition law issues related to the largest and most complex public and private transactions in the Nordic-Baltic region. In addition to merger filing procedures with national and EU competition authorities, including coordination of multi-jurisdictional filings, this entails deal feasibility analyses and related upfront strategic advice to minimize substantive and administrative concerns in the notification process.
Chambers Review
Roschier's competition practice works closely with the law firm's M&A department on transactions and joint ventures, coordinating multi-jurisdictional merger filings with both Swedish and EU competition authorities. It assists with both phase I and II investigations. The department also assists with contentious competition law matters, including investigations and follow-on damages proceedings.
