About

Provided by Santamarina y Steta SC

S+S is among the few Mexican law firms with broad experience in the aviation and airport industry. Coupled with our expertise in other areas of practice, this experience allows us to offer a broad range of services to businesses engaged in these industries. We represent air carriers, aircraft financiers, lessors, lessees, trustees, and practically all other participants in the aviation industry, involving aircraft used in commercial and private air transport. We have been involved in the development of the airport industry in Mexico, assisting on investment processes in the Mexican airport system and advising the Federal Government (including Terminal 2 in Mexico City International Airport and the New Mexico City International Airport), and concession-holders.

Our role includes, among others: aviation regulation; airport infrastructure projects (including financing and securitization schemes); commercial and corporate aircraft acquisition and financing (operating and finance leases, secured loans, sale and leasebacks, securitization, and other structures); and representation before Mexican aviation authorities and the International Registry of Mobile Assets (as a Professional User Entity).

Our firm is the sole Mexican member of L2B (an unparalleled international association specialized on the aviation practice), and constantly participates on workshops, conferences and symposiums organized by international aviation organizations such as IATA, ALTA, IAWA, NBAA, ISTAT, etc.
