The Department of Antitrust and Regulation of Serrano Martinez CMA is integrated by a team of leading specialized lawyers in the field. The Firm advises and represents national and foreign Clients in administrative and judicial proceedings related to antitrust and competition (including cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, premerger review processes, individual and class actions), energy and gas regulation (including regulatory investigations and ligitation), telecoms regulations, data privacy, consumer protection and compliance.
The Department acts in various sectors of the economy, including the tech, energy, retail, oil & gas, infrastructure, and foods industries. Some of its most relevant and world-renowned clients are Amazon, Spotify, Unilever, Uber, Airbnb, Chevron, Prime Energy, Bancolombia, and Allianz.
The Department is headed by Felipe Serrano, founding partner of Serrano Martinez. Felipe directly manages the matters of the clients of the Department. Between 2012 and 2015, Felipe was Head Advisor at the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce - SIC (Colombia´s Competition Authority), as well as Deputy Superintendent of Industry and Commerce. Currently, Felipe is the President of the Colombian Association of Competition Law.
The Department has two Partners, and is formed by women and men who are expert attorneys in competition law, privacy, and regulation, and have worked both at the Competition Authority and the private sector.
