The Corporate and M&A practice of Serrano Martinez CMA advises and represents Clients engaging in acquisitions or sales of businesses in any sector of the economy. This includes advising on the sale and purchase of shares, assets, trading establishments, as well as other corporate transactions. Serrano Martínez CMA has extensive experience in private equity operations in Colombia and it has successfully advised private equity funds, corporate venture capital programs, local and international investors, in the structuring, negotiation, documentation and closing of this type of operations.
Regarding corporate law, the firm offers comprehensive support to clients in matters such as the incorporation, corporate secretariat, operation and dissolution of companies and branches. This includes devising and implementing corporate and equity compensation structures like stock option plans. Additionally, the firm provides support in the management of unique corporate scenarios like grounds for dissolution, shareholder exclusion, and control and business group situations.
