Acknowledged in this space for its outbound acquisition work, the firm is particularly active for clients in the TMT sector and also handles mandates on behalf of insurance, retail, and oil and gas companies. It works closely with its US corporate group, with clients also benefiting from its market-leading US-based CFIUS practice. The firm also maintains a respected practice in the private equity sphere, particularly in North Asia, and a strong corporate offering in Korea and Japan.

- Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom represented an American food service equipment provider, Middleby Corporation, in its acquisition of Icetro, an ice machine and dispenser manufacturer headquartered in South Korea.
