Spice Route Legal’s 25-strong Private Equity practice is a market leader in deals involving Tech, Media & Telecoms, Energy and Life Sciences & Healthcare industries. Despite the funding winter that lasted through most of 2023, our team has seen a steady flow of significant investments.
Over the years, our team has worked on some of the most complicated transactions involving funds. Some examples are:
- Advised Ohmium on a USD 250million fundraise in what is potentially the largest fundraise (globally!) in the green hydrogen sector.
- Advised Foundamental (the investment vehicle of Heidelberg Cement) on a series of transactions (infra.market deals) across the APAC region.

- 25 private equity buyouts or investment deals on the buy side; and
- 60+ investments on the sell-side in 2023
Spice Route Legal worked on deals which involved India and 15 other jurisdictions last year, including many transactions which do not have an Indian element, showing that the practice has become “border agnostic” and a destination for work on behalf of international clients.
