About

Provided by Stephenson Harwood LLP

We have a full service restructuring and insolvency team who have significant experience of advising on debt restructuring and refinancing, debt for equity swaps, schemes or arrangement, judicial management, chapter 11 and insolvencies.

We have market-leading expertise in restructuring and insolvency, especially in the transportation and offshore sector, where we have continued to deal with a flow of large restructurings based on transactions documented from the Singapore office as well as third party commercial contracts ranging from the sale of goods to shipbuilding contracts.

Difficult market conditions have also meant that our banking clients have relied upon us for a number of complex work outs, restructuring and enforcements of shipping finance transactions, recognising our long experience in Asia not just in structuring and documenting deals but also dealing with work outs and enforcements. We also work regularly for creditors in funding sales, shipping losses and enforcing rights when insolvency arises in commercial contracts.
