About
Provided by Stoel Rives LLP
Stoel Rives’ Washington Insolvency and Restructuring (I&R) team represents distressed companies in out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructurings, buyers of distressed assets, and critical commercial counterparties to debtors in bankruptcy cases. Whatever form our clients’ exposure takes, our advice considers first and foremost our clients’ commercial and relationship interests, and our understanding of both state and federal law enables us to work with our clients on developing creative business solutions that are intended to minimize commercial risk and maximize returns.
For our distressed clients, our I&R attorneys work closely with our firm’s industry experts and corporate lawyers to assist owners and operators of distressed assets in assessing their strategic alternatives. Importantly, to the extent the client needs to consider a complex Chapter 11 filing to effectuate a reorganization or recapitalization or one or more going concern sales, we have the expertise and capacity to carry the client through that process.
Moreover, our I&R attorneys collaborate closely with our litigators on litigating cash collateral disputes, intercreditor disputes, contested plan issues, fraudulent transfer and preference issues, and claims allowance matters.
Finally, our team has also assisted valued clients on non-bankruptcy asset and contingent obligation management matters.
Our I&R team serves clients across a wide range of industries.
