TozziniFreire’s Healthcare Regulatory practice is a key component in the firm’s broader Life Sciences & Healthcare department. Our work encompasses administrative and in-court proceedings involving ANS (Brazilian National Health Insurance Agency) as well as a range of consultancy issues linked to healthcare insurance coverage, the creation and registration of new policies as well as the sale of insurance portfolios. We also represent private hospitals and clinics gain accreditation to provide services within insurance plans.

Our Healthcare practice covers a wider range of matters than those which solely fall under the jurisdiction of ANS, it also encompasses regulatory issues linked to CONITEC (Brazilian Committee for Health Technology Incorporation) and CNS (Brazilian Counsel for Health). We are particularly active in healthtech, and telemedicine. We also advise the largest private hospitals on governance, healthcare compliance, clinical trials, health data privacy and health innovation including regulatory due diligences, and incorporation of technologies within the Brazilian Health System.
