The Banking & Finance team of 20 lawyers advises multinational financial institutions and investors in relation to complex deals in financing manufacturing, acquisition, infrastructure, and energy projects in Vietnam and in securities transactions.

- Advised Long Son Petrochemicals Company Limited in the process of financing the US$3.2B development of Long Son Petrochemicals Complex in Long Son Industrial Zone, Ba Ria-Vung Tau
- Advised BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole and Standard Chartered Bank as arrangers in the US$125M Reserve Based Lending Facility to SOCO International, secured against the Group’s producing assets in Vietnam, which include Te Giac Trang Field of Block 16-1, Ca Ngu Vang field of Block 9-2 and Blocks 125 & 126 offshore Vietnam
- Advised SCG Packaging in its combination of the Reg S and Rule 144A international offering of 137,344,388 shares to investors outside the US and Thailand and the domestic offering of 990,205,612 shares to investors in Thailand
- Assisted Vingroup in its offering and listing of US$500M 5% Exchangeable Bond due 2026 on SGT-ST
- Assisted Grab Holdings in relation to its US$500M financing to Grab Vietnam

Work Highlights
- VILAF advised Goshawk Aviation on the sale of its company to SMBC Aviation Capital, in a transaction worth USD6.7 billion. The deal involved transfer of security interests and refinancing of four aircraft.
- VILAF also assisted Vietcombank Securities as underwriter with the private issuance of fixed interest rate green bonds by EVN Finance.
