VILAF has recently advised in the following high-profile deals:
- Advised the sale by Citigroup of its Vietnam retail banking business to United Overseas Bank (Vietnam) Limited (UOBV), which is part of Citigroup’s USD3.7 billion strategic transaction with UOB covering Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand
- Advised Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in the acquisition of 27.5% equity stake in the holding company of Mainstream, Aker Horizons ASA subsidiary involved in renewable energy, by way of share subscription valued at USD631 million
- Advised in the strategic acquisition of De Heus Group of the entire feed business of Masan, which includes 100% ANCO and MNS Feed and 75.2% Proconco, valued at USD600 million
- Advised L Catterton as Vietnamese law counsel in the potential merger with Carousell for a potential USD1.5 billion SPAC listing in the NYSE
- Advised Warburg Pincus Asia LLC in the investment in JD Property Group Corporation. This financing will support JD Property’s business expansion and infrastructure management
