Walder Wyss features a dedicated dispute resolution team with roughly 60 members, which has grown significantly, also with lateral hires over the past few years.

Walder Wyss’s strong arbitration reputation is founded in its extensive and successful experience and expertise in construction, plant and equipment engineering disputes as well as disputes arising from distribution, agency and JV agreements and shareholders and post-M&A disputes. Nowadays, Walder Wyss covers a broad range of industries. The enforcement of arbitral awards complements our practice.

More recently, Walder Wyss has seen growth in the area of private client and trust disputes and commodities trading and pharma related disputes.

The depth of our team is not only one of numbers but also of the quality of our team members which is also reflected in the appointments and activities of team members in the arbitration community. Several of our team members serve in the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Arbitration Centre (SAC), the ICC etc., other members have academic appointments as professors for arbitration, and hold positions in arbitration focused international organizations.

Members of our team are regularly appointed as arbitrators (and sole arbitrator/chairperson) by various international arbitral institutions and/or are on the respective lists of arbitrators (in particular ICC, SAC, SIAC, etc).
