The Paris Restructuring Team is the leading bespoke restructuring practices, with 12 restructuring lawyers (including 3 partners), whose practice comprises the highest profile, market-leading French-originated matters, as well as significant work alongside our global restructuring practices on UK, US and European-originated matters. The team has a large and diversified practice in insolvency matters: it handles pre-insolvency and insolvency, debt and equity restructuring, litigious bankruptcy proceedings, distressed M&A, LBO and venture capital insolvency and bids on assets of distressed companies.

The team advises a broad client base that includes debtor and creditor, directors, investment funds, senior, mezzanine and subordinated lenders, purchasers and sellers of distressed assets, and substantial bankruptcy litigation.

The team has notably been involved, over the past year, in the largest and the most significant French LBO restructurings such as Vivarte, Camaieu, Sequana, Alma Group and Quick and bankruptcy proceedings such as SNCM, Altia, Mory Ducros and Reader’s Digest.

The department has the capacity to work on all issues faced by clients, no matter the type of client and the framework of the restructuring. The team advises its clients within all the existing range of restructuring framework, including in and out of court, carve-out, refinancing or distressed leveraged buyouts.
