Provided by William Fry LLP

Our Technology Group is market leading in advising on all aspects of technology matters for suppliers, users and creators. We advise on supply of goods/services, licensing, outsourcing, e-commerce, data protection and intellectual property, as well as the broader range of corporate and commercial transactions typical in a full service law firm. Our client base includes both Irish start-up companies and established international brands.

Our Telecoms Group focuses on the legal, regulatory and tax aspects of operating in Ireland. Clients include regulatory bodies and global multinationals as well as Irish entrepreneurial start-ups. Incumbents and new market entrants are faced with complex legal and regulatory requirements, often stemming from European Union rules, overseen in particular by ComReg (the Commission for Communications Regulation) and the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (the ODPC).

We are trusted market leaders in Media & Entertainment. Our experience includes advising/acting for:

  • 3 of the 7 daily newspapers in Republic of Ireland
  • 50% of the 4 domestic TV channels
  • Daily Mail Group, Communicorp and ESPN
  • Trinity Mirror (publisher of the Daily Mirror) and The Irish Times
