About
Provided by Wolf Theiss
The start of war heavily impacted our clients' business activities and transactions in Ukraine forcing them to react to a rapidly changing legal and business environment. With our business-wise approach, we continue supporting our clients to find proper solutions to rescue their resources.
While martial law in Ukraine is in effect, and statutory acts and by-laws, at different levels, continue to be adopted in order to cope with wartime challenges, we are doing our best to be innovative and find solutions that best fit our clients' needs, give maximum comfort to them and yet are acceptable to their counterparties.
Our team has expertise in several legal areas and understanding of the industries, regulatory and political environment in which our clients operate. This multidisciplinary approach combined with transactional experience makes us well positioned to efficiently handle projects and advise clients on general issues pertinent to their business or on a specific deal.
In 2022-2023 we advised KKR on the acquisition of Ukrainian subsidiaries engaged in solar power production as a part of global M&A transaction.
We believe that the active participation of the private sector and, in particular, lawyers in developing a new investor-friendly legal environment is an investment in our future. As a member of the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, we urge a legislative initiative to improve the investment framework.
