About
Provided by Wolf Theiss
Our Team
We operate a cross-border practice and provide our clients with a single point of contact for any transaction in the CEE/SEE region. Our Energy team has necessary local legal expertise, contacts and experience to handle issues that may arise during the life cycle of large-scale projects, including their development, financing, construction and operation, as well as acquisitions, disposals and regulatory matters.
Our Reach
As the only law firm to have an energy practice dedicated to the CEE/SEE region, we are well placed to keep up with this complex and fast changing market. Many of our cases have broken new ground in their respective fields. We are currently involved in a wide range of domestic and international work, covering everything from the development, construction and financing of energy projects to securing regulatory approvals, as well as resolving national / international disputes.
Our Knowledge
Our regional guides provide insight into the laws and regulations pertinent to the future development of energy in the region (www.wolftheiss.com/insights). These include:
"WT Guide to Generating Electricity from Renewable Sources in Central, Eastern & Southeastern Europe" (2024);
"WT Guide to Licensing of Electricity and Gas Wholesale Activities in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe" (2018);
"WT Guide to Waste to Energy in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe" (2016); and
"WT Guide to Energy Efficiency in Central, Eastern & Southeastern Europe" (2017).
