Yoon & Yang’s M&A Practice Group displayed its strong competitiveness in the aviation industry. The M&A Practice Group represented landmark deals led by the Head of the M&A Team (Sung-Jin Kim) relating to aviation industry restructuring, i.e., Korean Air (KAL)’s acquisition of Asiana Airlines; KAL’s liquidation of its in-flight meal & duty-free sales business units; KAL’s attraction of investment from Korea Development Bank (KDB); and Hanjin KAL’s issuance of new shares and exchangeable bonds. 

The M&A Group also demonstrated its strength in the energy sector, including POSCO Plantec’s acquisition deal, KOLON Environment & Energy’s liquidation deal, and Bumhan Fuel Cell’s attraction of investments.
