In March 2023, the practice group hired Geonyoung Koh, a Korean attorney and former prosecutor as a partner in its IP practice area. Mr. Geonyoung Koh previously worked for eight years as a software engineer at the largest IT companies such as Pantech & Curitel and NHN Corporation before starting his prosecutor career. While working as a software engineer, he had an experience in developing search engine program. As a prosecutor, he also worked at cyber crime investigation department, the industrial technology crime investigation department and his main cases include cryptocurrency theft, hydrogen fuel cell technology leakage and OLED cleaning equipment technology leakage case.

In 2022, the firm recruited Kyu Woong Cho, a renowned technology, IP lawyer. While his tenure at the Korea’s prosecution office, he obtained expert knowledge in investigations of cyber-crime, leakage of technologies including trade secrets and intellectual properties. Before starting his legal career, he worked for Samsung SDI for ten years at its Central Research Center, Patent Strategy Team and Strategic Planning Team, during which he built first-hand experience in the energy industry including secondary cells. In particular, he has 37 patents registered in his name in Korea and abroad, including 12 U.S. patents in the sectors of secondary cells and fuel cells.
