Yoon & Yang's Shipping & Maritime Practice Group provides a full range of legal advisory and dispute settlement services on all types of maritime disputes and transactions for domestic and foreign aircraft owners and ship charterers, P&I clubs (e.g., Mutual Protection and Indemnity Insurance Association), maritime insurance companies, maritime/aviation freight forwarders, government agencies, and shippers of every type. In particular, upon commencement of the rehabilitation proceedings in 2016 for Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd. (then Korea's largest and the world's 7th largest shipping company, which ultimately declared bankruptcy in February 2017), Yoon & Yang's Shipping & Maritime Practice Group, through collaboration with Yoon & Yang's Corporate Restructuring Practice Group, successfully carried out various measures to protect the rights and benefits of the creditors of Hanjin Shipping. Amongst the creditors that benefitted from Yoon & Yang's excellent legal service were multi-national players such as the Schenker Group (Yoon & Yang represented 31 affiliates of the Group), ZIM Lines (ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd.) and SENATOR (SENATOR INTERNATIONAL Spedition GmbH).
