Bailey Glasser was founded in 1999 by Benjamin Bailey and Brian Glasser in Charleston, West Virginia. Now a full-service national firm with 18 offices across the country, Bailey Glasser handles their clients’ most challenging and consequential legal issues, in litigation and in corporate matters.

Bailey Glasser brings a trial-focused approach to litigation for plaintiffs and defendants that vigorously protects the interests of their clients – businesses in many industries and of all sizes (from Fortune 500 companies to family offices), individuals, governmental entities and high-profile government officials, and even law firms that call upon them to help in matters because of their unique blend of resources and tenacious trial experience.

Bailey Glasser handles many matters of national prominence and wide impact. Some of Bailey Glasser's areas of particular litigation focus include:

  • individual negligence cases
  • federal and state court appeals, including appeals before the Supreme Court of the United States
  • a sophisticated Electronically Stored Information practice group whose practice group leader possesses the global CEDS credential

Bailey Glasser's sophisticated corporate practice provides strategic guidance, counseling, and innovative solutions in virtually every type of corporate, real estate, and financial transaction, including:

Bailey Glasser's culture and community include a strong commitment to diversity. It is one of the first midsize law firms to achieve Diversity Lab's Midsize Mansfield Rule certification, and it is also a law firm member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.

Bailey Glasser's pro bono work is also impactful, including representing the Drum Major Institute, which was co-founded in 1961 by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who often used the phrase “drum major instinct” when talking about leadership. DMI leads through collaboration by convening leaders and organizations to identify peaceful solutions to the triple evils of racism, poverty, and violence.

As noted in the 2022 Chambers rankings, Bailey Glasser "has the expertise to handle any situation and it absolutely makes you feel like you are its only client."
