Bevan Brittan is one of the UK’s leading advisors for the Health & Social Care market. It acts for a third of all NHS organisations and over 170 independent health and social care providers and suppliers across the UK.


The firm’s market-leading health experts’ recent work has included winning a landmark appeal in the Supreme Court, advising NHS England on the procurement of five community diagnostic centres in the South West, and supporting We Change Lives and Mysa Care in their acquisitions.


As a leading advisor within social housing, Bevan Brittan supports a range of organisations engaged in housing and regeneration from registered providers, local authorities, and private sector developers to funders and contractors.


Notable work within the housing market includes advising both Peabody on the South Thamesmead redevelopment, and Platform Housing on two sustainability-linked loans worth a combined £275m, also securing reappointment to Sanctuary Group’s Legal Services Framework.


Bevan Brittan’s established Central & Local Government practice supports London Boroughs as well as city and councils across the country. Its expert team is particularly experienced at advising on development and infrastructure projects and is regularly instructed to handle the construction, procurement, and property aspects of educational and cultural projects.


Recent Central & Local Government work has included supporting on Bristol’s £95m Temple Quarter regeneration project, whilst the team also gained Strategic Legal Partner appointments with Wolverhampton City Council and the West of England Combined Authority.


In recent years the business has achieved growth across a number of emerging markets.


In Energy & Resource Management, the team advised Boom Power on a 400MW solar farm in East Yorkshire, Birmingham City Council on their £490m Waste PPP project, and Legal & General on a district energy project in London.


Work within Higher Education included advising a FTSE 100 global education company on a strategic disposal and securing appointment to the University of Plymouth’s legal panel through the Crown Commercial Service framework.


In Financial Services, experts supported on a multi-million pound project with NS&I and secured reappointment to advise the Financial Conduct Authority.


Amongst awards success across its markets and regions, Bevan Brittan was recognised as one of The Times’ Best Law Firms for the sixth consecutive year.
