We have represented multi-national clients and Indian businesses in a number of simple to complex transactions and have been retained by our clients for on-going advisory work. Litigation and Arbitration Practice - DMD Advocates has and continues to represent clients before various Indian courts and tribunals across the country. We have been involved in several landmark domestic and international arbitrations. We are well-versed with international arbitration in Singapore, Amsterdam, US, and UK and have represented large multi-national companies in each such jurisdiction. We have a prominent practice in international litigation and arbitration with special expertise in representing clients against various governments on disputes related to Bilateral Investment Treaties, Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements, and other International Treaties.

Taxation Practice - We are one of the few law firms in India that has a significant and leading domestic and cross-border tax practice encompassing tax advisory as well tax litigation. We have successfully represented clients in a number of litigations that have had the prominence of settling domestic as well as international jurisprudence on several tax issues, including, M&A tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, permanent establishment issues and royalty tax issues. We also handhold our clients during tax investigations and provide strategic advice for optimizing tax outflow as well as high stake tax litigation.

We have assisted our clients in conducting competition law analysis and filings in connection with mergers, acquisitions and other combinations as well as assisted them in potential and active investigations before the Competition Commission of India. Our competition law team has expertise in advising on transactional matters and assisting in internal and regulatory investigations.

Regulatory Practice - Additionally, we are one of the few firms that has an experienced regulatory team which interacts with Indian regulators on a regular basis.
