-Defending one of the largest media networks in the world in an ongoing, high-value commercial lawsuit against a competing television network in India

-Advising a multinational tech and consulting conglomerate on all aspects of its digital ventures vertical in India – including structuring, compliance, tech policy, data protection and privacy, fintech and e-commerce regulations, intermediary liability and online payments

-Advising a legacy internet giant in connection with its AdTech business in India, and on advertising and marketing laws

-Advised a leading SaaS provider on complex privacy and data protection issues and surveillance implications arising out of smart cameras and dashcams in fleet vehicles

-Advising an Australian multinational on all aspects of setting up a B2B online marketplace in India, including foreign investment and exchange controls; tech policies; intermediary liability; corporate structuring and general regulatory compliance

-Representing one of the world’s most famous Fashion & Lifestyle brands in relation to the protection, policing and enforcement of their trademark portfolio in India

-Handling the Indian and South Asian trademark portfolios for a global media network; a global snack-foods conglomerate; one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world; and a leading European telecom corporation

-Advised a premium chocolate manufacturer on the issue of parallel imports into India, strategies to prevent import of counterfeit products, and food packaging regulations

-Acting for a fashion-retail giant in the athleisure space on various aspects of establishing and operating a business in India, including advice on inter-company agreements; employment policies; commercial agreements and company law compliance; packaging and labelling regulations; disclosure requirements; false advertising and product liability issues

-Advising one of the world’s most recognizable brands engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and worldwide marketing and sales of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in connection with its Indian retail operations

-Assisted a leading American international QSR chain in negotiating and revising its licensing terms with its Indian partner by including a dark kitchen concept

-Advised a leading multinational in the FMCG sector on statutory certification requirements for import of goods, liaising with food safety inspectors for addressing product specific queries

-Acted for one of the world’s leading health services companies and advised on export regulations and sanctions in connection with proposed export of sensitive medical equipment from India, and made representations with the Indian Ministry of Commerce/Directorate General of Foreign Trade on amendment of foreign trade policy

-Advised a large Asian multinational involved in the manufacture and distribution of cosmetics in India, including advice on product registration, manufacturing license and disclosure requirements with the Drugs Controller for all products falling under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act

-Represented a multinational electronic goods distributor on registration of products with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and by defending consumer claims across the country

-Represented an American multinational in the technology sector with labour law related advice on a variety of issues such as termination; work force reduction; disciplinary proceedings; HR related investigations; implementation of DEI mandates; retrenchment and restructuring pursuant to mergers; acquisition and transfer of business

-Advised on employment law issues arising from the Indian operations of a Canadian multinational company, which is a world-renowned athletic apparel retailer, including assistance in cross-border secondment arrangements; drafting of various employment related documentation; advice on best practices for organizational structure; remote work-force; employment of contract workers etc.

-Advised a US headquartered technology company in its acquisition of Indian companies, including due diligence, transaction documents, employment aspects and restructuring of group entities after acquisition

-Conducted multiple anti-corruption and fraud investigations and as well as investigations into workplace misconduct and covid compliance
