RNC Legal was the first legal firm to be established in New Delhi soon after Independence of India in 1947 and the promulgation of the Constitution of India. The firm has been at the forefront of development of Constitution of India. The firm is the first firm to have been recognised and registered by the Supreme Court of India.

RNC Legal specialises in international corporate transactional work and aviation law, particularly aviation financing and leasing and continues to advise major manufacturers, lessors and financiers. It works with several large American and English legal firms in that space and has the largest number of transactions to its credit compared to other firms. The firm also advises United Nations and its agencies (World Bank, UNHCR, UNICEF, IFC) and is consulted from time to time by the Government of India on various matters.
