Uniquely for a reputation management firm, Thomson Heath Jenkins & Associates includes a specialist Victims of Crime unit assisted by former Metropolitan Police Officer, Michelle Roycroft. The team has helped numerous victims of stalking and harassment. The team provides advice on civil and criminal options, and also advises upon and arranges specialist protection services for individuals whose safety is at risk.

The firms recent highlights include acting for high profile victims of stalking and harassment, representing Sir Simon Hughes in his voicemail interception claim against Associated Newspapers Limited;preventing the publication of intrusiveand or defamatory material for high profile clients or acting quickly to remove and/or correct intrusive material when published, and representing Ms Fiona George in her malicious falsehood claim against Linda Cannell & Anor, which was heard in the Supreme Court last autumn.

The Media Team also continues in its widely-publicised role as Lead Solicitors in the phone hacking scandal against Mirror Group Newspapers Limited, which included acting for all the claimants at the 8 week trial in the summer. The highly-publicised trial concerned Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and 3 other representative Claimants, with judgment being handed-down in December.The trial covered the knowledge of wrongdoing of the Board and Legal Department at MGN’s parent company, Reach Plc, including the unlawful use of private investigators, landline interception, phone hacking and other unlawful of information gathering. Thomson Heath Jenkins & Associates were overwhelmingly successful in the Claimants’ case, with the Judge finding that even to this day MGN and key members of the board of its parent company, Reach PLC, and its legal departments had deliberately concealed and mislead the courts, a public inquiry and parliament in its denials of wrongdoing spanning decades at its national newspapers.

The firm also continues to represent individuals and corporates and political organisations/parties in crisis and reputation management matters, having successfully managed a number of crises for our clients over the year.
