Career

"Alejandra focuses on Corporate Law, Real Estate and Mergers & Acquisitions. As a member of the Baker McKenzie Latin America Real Estate Steering Committee, she has worked to leverage cross border experience and practice. Alejandra has been now appointed as Chair of the Steering Committee and has a sit at the Global Real Estate Steering Committee. As part of the Global Steering Committee, the issues discussed include not only strategic planning, but it also includes the analysis and discussion of latest trends, knowledge and the future of real estate in other regions and around the globe. Discussing not only LatAm but also Asia Pacific, EMEA and North America enhances the practice and improves the service offering to clients.

Alejandra’s practice covers lead management and advice to local and foreign companies on a wide variety of legal matters relating to real estate transactions and development of real estate projects. Her extensive experience makes it easier for client's teams to understand the implications of a specific transaction and its management and negotiation.

Also, Alejandra has joined the World Economic Forum- WEF Taskforce on Digital Transformation of Real Estate- which also allows her to work on the needs of the industry and its future. By being a member allows to take a more considered look at PropTech and the implications for clients, governments and third parties, helping elaborate best practices and focusing on meeting international and local standards. It identifies the core business drivers for adopting technology in real estate, and then considers for key areas for strategic action.

She regularly drafts and assists in negotiations of pre-acquisition and acquisition agreements and ancillary corporate and commercial documents. She assists in construction projects and build to suit projects and has provided transactional and legal advice for those projects with private and public owners, analyzed alternative legal structures and counselled on risks and compliance with environmental regulations affecting property development and operations."
