Alejandro is the leading partner of the Tax practice at Von Wobeser y Sierra. He has more than thirty years of experience in this area.

He has been a partner at two of the leading firms specializing in tax matters in Mexico, where he excelled in resolving complex tax controversies before the courts.

Alejandro is a strategic advisor to domestic and multinational companies regarding tax matters. He is an expert in contentious proceedings and revocation recourses before the tax authorities, as well as in the resolution of complex tax controversies before Mexico’s Taxpayers Ombudsman (Prodecon), through the execution of conclusive agreements and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms provided by international treaties to which Mexico is a party.

Alejandro has led the Tax Committee and the Professional Ethics Committee of the Mexican Bar Association and was vice-president of the Tax Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). Moreover, he has authored several articles on tax matters in multiple specialized publications.

He has been recognized by Chambers and Partners, Latin Lawyer, Who’s Who Legal and other specialized publications as a leading practitioner in tax matters in Mexico.
