Based in the firm’s New York and Washington, D.C. offices, Alex’s practice includes commercial, financial, and treaty-based disputes, particularly in the energy and mining sectors, and in infrastructure disputes involving sovereigns and state-owned entities in Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. He has also had a long career litigating in the U.S. courts in connection with arbitral disputes, including two arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is fluent in six languages.
