Alison maintains an active pro bono practice, which has ranged from filing an amicus brief with the United States Supreme Court on reproductive rights, litigating a matter including a trial for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, representing an individual inmate in a civil rights litigation, and representing artists and performing arts organizations in contract disputes. She and the team representing Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin were the recipients of the 2020 Albert E. Jenner Pro Bono Award for their work on the matter. Alison is also part of a team that represents Sarah Collins Rudolph, the “fifth little girl” who was grievously injured in the 16th Street Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1963, that took the life of her sister and three other girls. The team’s work, including their letter to Governor Kaye Ivey and the governor’s response apologizing to Ms. Rudolph, has been featured in numerous news reports including in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and on CNN.
