Ami Wynne focuses her practice on a wide range of employment matters, from litigation to internal investigations and strategic employment counseling, to executive compensation and corporate transactions work. She regularly defends employers in employment discrimination, contract disputes, and employment-related cases in state and federal courts. A significant part of her practice involves internal investigation, whistleblower, and related matters.
These litigation matters include both individual and class claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Sarbanes-Oxley, Dodd-Frank, Federal Rail Safety Act, and other employment statutes. She also handles employment matters in arbitrations and before various federal and state departments of labor and fair employment agencies.
Ami conducts internal investigations concerning discrimination, harassment, conflict of interest, and other employment-related issues involving employees at all levels of the company. She has investigated numerous matters on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, boards of directors, and special committees. She serves as independent employment counsel advising clients on retaliation, attorney-client privilege, and other similar issues that frequently arise in the context of internal investigations and whistleblower matters.
She counsels employers of all sizes with respect to their most important Human Resources initiatives, including matters involving workplace culture, diversity and inclusion, compensation reviews, and numerous other employment-related matters. She also advises on labor and employment matters arising in a broad range of corporate transactions, including issues surrounding reductions in force and facility closings, terminations and other personnel decisions.
She advises on executive compensation matters and regularly negotiates executive-level and other key personnel employment-related agreements, including executive employment, transition, severance, and other similar agreements.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ami was a partner and a global practice leader at another global law firm.
