Career
Brent is a Partner in our pensions team, and advises both employers and trustees on all aspects of pensions law.
He has a broad range of experience, including advising on corporate acquisitions and disposals, day-to-day benefit advisory work for employer and trustee clients, and advising on PPF eligibility issues and PPF compensation. He also advises on disputes in relation to pension schemes, including High Court negligence and rectification claims, member complaints, and Pensions Ombudsman claims.
He has developed a particular interest in public sector pensions issues, including government outsourcings and the implications of Fair Deal.
Brent qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and joined Osborne Clarke as a Partner in May 2014 from Slaughter and May.
Professional Memberships
Brent is actively involved with the Association of Pension Lawyers, and sits on their Education and Seminars Committee. He is responsible for organising the APL’s Public Sector Outsourcing Course.
