Advises clients, including utilities, independent power producers, transmission companies, private equity funds, and financing parties with respect to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, spin-offs and divestitures, securities issuances and financings, and related federal and state regulatory issues in energy and infrastructure matters. In the power industry, he has regularly advises strategic utility clients, private equity clients, financing parties and others. Examples of high-profile mergers and other transactions in the power industry include: several acquisitions of large renewable energy portfolios by private equity firms, ITC Holdings’ sale to Fortis, JPMorgan's sale of its physical commodities trading businesses, American Electric Power's acquisition of Central and South West Corp., and the acquisition of TXU by a group of private equity firms.
