BJay offers 25 years of experience in handling government investigations and enforcement proceedings, corporate regulatory compliance, internal investigations, and resolution of civil and criminal litigation to drive results for clients. He creates effective strategies to mitigate legal, political, and public relations risks to protect his clients’ business objectives.

As a former legislator and Senate-confirmed U.S. attorney, BJay has significant experience making high-stakes decisions. From 2017 to 2021, BJay served as U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, overseeing all federal criminal prosecutions and federal government civil litigation in his district. BJay previously worked as an assistant U.S. attorney, prosecuting white collar crimes, including securities and health care fraud, intellectual property crimes, export control violations, and AML/BSA cases. BJay also served three terms as a state representative in the Georgia General Assembly, where he was involved in criminal justice reform efforts and shaping the state’s health care and tax laws. He was one of the leaders of Alston & Bird’s investigation into alleged misconduct involving the U.S. Men’s National Team for U.S. Soccer.

BJay uses his vast knowledge and experience to advise corporations, board committees, and individual clients in navigating sensitive legal, regulatory, and public relations issues that result from events such as government investigations and prosecutions and allegations of serious misconduct committed by C-suite executives and board members.
