Christian Ruoff specialises in the tax structuring of acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and restructurings, private equity and real estate transactions as well as providing tax advice to family-owned businesses. He also frequently handles large scale tax investigations.
Joined Freshfields in 1998; partner since 2003.
Christian is a member of the Hamburg and New York bars and is qualified a tax advisor and tax attorney. He is the chairman of the academic advisory board of the “Hamburg Forum for Enterprise Taxation”, chairs two panels at the annual Hamburg Forum for Enterprise Taxation Conference and lectures on corporate tax law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg.
Christian has published extensively on German and international tax law.
Christian graduated from Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (First State Exam) and Duke University Law School (LL.M.). He speaks German and English.
