Colleen Kenney co-leads Sidley Austin’s E-Discovery and Data Analytics practice and successfully handles the largest and most sophisticated, data-intensive matters in the country. She is a published author and sought after speaker in the areas of E Discovery, information governance, and electronically stored information, including for the Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Discovery, the Electronic Discovery Institute, LegalTech, and the Duke Law Conference Discovery Proportionality Guidelines Team.
Colleen is particularly well-known and sought after for her practical and efficient E-Discovery advice. She has broad experience as a trial lawyer in many large and complex class actions and multidistrict litigations, including antitrust, employment, consumer fraud, securities fraud, bankruptcy, and mass tort. She uses that broad-based experience to provide practical solutions to difficult E-Discovery issues.
Kenney was on the faculty of the Annual Judicial Training Symposium for Federal Judges, which included and was recently recognized with the “Most Effective Advocate” award by the E-Discovery Institute.
In addition to her litigation experience, Kenney has extensive experience counselling Fortune 50 clients on E-Discovery related issues, including the design and implementation of best practices and use of technology in document retention and information production in discovery
