Experience

Cristina is a counsel in the Global Transaction (Finance) team of Freshfields Madrid office. Throughout her long-standing career at Freshfields, Cristina has built a great reputation in the market, advising in the most complex banking and finance and restructuring mandates.

She specialises in domestic and international financing transactions of all kinds (including leveraged and acquisition financings, real estate financings, project financings, corporate treasury and guarantee facilities) and complex corporate and debt restructuring and insolvency matters. She also has great experience on all types of ESG financing matters (including, green and sustainable loans, KPIs and CRREM). She advises her clients on a wide range of transactions across the financing spectrum and industry sectors and combines deep local knowledge with cross-border experience in global transactions. Her broad experience is highly appreciated by her clients who can count on her to help them with their most challenging legal needs.

Her client portfolio includes Spanish and foreign credit and financial institutions, debt funds, sovereign wealth funds, private equity funds and corporates (from investment grade to highly leveraged).
