David Luce has over 25 years of experience in complex insurance industry M&A and capital markets transactions, regulatory matters and litigation. David's practice includes strategic and private equity mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, reinsurance, insurance asset management, and general insurance matters. He combines a deep understanding of corporate and securities laws with expertise in insurance regulation and industry knowledge. David represents clients in the most complex M&A, capital markets and reinsurance transactions in the insurance industry, both domestically and cross-border. These clients include major life, property/casualty and specialty insurers, reinsurers, private equity firms, investment banks and ILS funds. His practice includes both private and public M&A, asset sales, joint ventures, block and flow life and annuity reinsurance, run-off, including loss portfolio treaties and adverse development covers, equity offerings and corporate restructurings, and pension risk transfer. He has extensive experience in capital markets, securities offerings and insurance-linked securities, including Reg. XXX, AXXX and embedded value financings, sidecars, catastrophe bonds, transformer trades, weather, longevity and mortality swaps. He also represents industrial clients in the corporate liability space, helping them divest legacy asbestos and other liabilities.
