He is co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice and a senior member of the firm's Real Estate Litigation and Counseling Practice.

Donald provides seminars and writes articles on various real estate issues including complex like-kind exchanges, real estate workouts, loan and equity restructures, dual agency for brokers, and real estate contract negotiations. He is a member of the Chicago Central Area Committee, a group of civic leaders dedicated to the economic development of Chicago's downtown community. He was a guest lecturer for the real estate program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and is a past member of the firm's Policy and Management Committees.
