Career

Eric W. Kimball is a finance attorney in Holland & Knight’s Dallas office with more than 23 years of experience representing lenders in originating and restructuring middle-market finance transactions. His experience includes representing left-lead banks and non-bank institutions in areas such as:

leveraged cash flow lending

asset-based lending

subordinated debt financing

sophisticated intercreditor arrangements related to unitranche, split-collateral, mezzanine, first lien and second lien financings

Mr. Kimball also negotiates and closes equity sponsor-backed acquisitions and dividend recapitalizations of portfolio companies across many industries, with particular experience related to financing companies focused on healthcare, security alarm monitoring, government contracting and energy services.

In addition, Mr. Kimball represents secured parties in resolving defaulted loans, including by way of private, public and strict foreclosure transactions under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
