Chair of Dentons’ Capital Markets practice group, Erik Klingenberg's practice involves all aspects of structured finance and securitization, including the sale, financing and securitization of all types of financial assets. He represents issuers, underwriters and other capital market participants in a wide variety of domestic, off-shore and cross-border transactions, including CMBS, RMBS, ABS, master trusts and credit, repurchase and structured warehouse facilities. Erik is known for developing innovative and complex structured finance transactions involving a wide range of financial assets.
Career
Erik is an adjunct professor of law at St. John's University School of Law teaching the course, “Securitization, Structured Finance and Capital Markets.”

Erik has contributed to articles and moderated industry panels on numerous topics, including the sale and financing of mortgage servicing and excess servicing spread, Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP); Public-Private Investment Program, (PPIP); sale and financing of distressed debt and securities; and treatment of residential mortgages in bankruptcy.
