George Gibson is a banking, projects and export finance lawyer based in Tokyo. He specialises in the development, financing and acquisition and disposal of infrastructure and energy related projects, especially in the emerging markets. He has broad experience across the power, water, infrastructure, oil & gas, petrochemicals, renewables and nuclear sectors.
George is consistently recognised as a leading individual for Projects and Energy and Banking and Finance work in Chambers Asia Pacific, Chambers Global and Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
George was formerly based in our London, Bahrain and Milan offices and first worked in Tokyo in 1997.
George is a member of The Law Society of England and Wales and is licensed to advise on English Law in Japan as a Gaikokuho-Jimu-Bengoshi (registered foreign lawyer).
