Specialises in leasehold, housing and public law, dealing with all kinds of housing disputes, with a particular interest in claims for build defects, fitness for human habitation, disrepair, possession claims and judicial review in housing matters. He also acts in residential and commercial leasehold disputes, including in the FTT(LC)/Upper Tribunal (Property Chamber).
Career
Following a previous career as a University senior lecturer in Art History, Giles trained with Anthony Gold and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. He became a partner in Anthony Gold in 2013. Winner of Legal Aid Housing Lawyer of the Year 2018. Worked with Karen Buck MP from the start of her Private Member’s Bill, which is now the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018. Giles has acted in cases at all levels of the civil court, from the County Court to the Supreme Court.

Personal
Lives in St Albans. Enjoys contemporary art and scuba diving, usually separately.
