Career
Gottfried studied law in Innsbruck (Mag. iur. 2000) and economics at Marquette University in Milwaukee (USA) and in Innsbruck (Mag. rer. soc. oec. 2002). He began his career at Binder Grösswang in 2007 and has been – interrupted by a secondment at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Amsterdam – with the firm since then.

He is a member of IBA, Officer of IBA Insolvency Section, member of INSOL Europe (Country Coordinator for Austria), ReTurn - Forum for Restructuring and Turnaround Management and VGR - Wissenschaftliche Vereinigung für Unternehmens- und Gesellschaftsrecht.

Gottfried is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars, among others at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and the Danube University Krems, former co-editor of the journal of the IBA Insolvency Section "Insolvency and Restructuring International" (2017-2018), and author of numerous publications on corporate and insolvency law.
