Helen is the UK Head of Employment & Reward. She heads up a team of over 90 lawyers and is responsible for all aspects of running the national practice. Alongside this, Helen sits on the Employment & Reward Global Leadership and Strategy Team and is our co-lead for employment law in the Higher Education sector and Global lead for employment in the Technology, Digital and Media sector.
Helen is listed as an “Eminent Practitioner” and has considerable experience of managing the most commercially sensitive and complex of matters in the both the public and private sector. Her depth of experience includes advising boards and senior executives on sensitive issues including governance, discrimination and whistleblowing. A significant part of her practice is conducting complex and high profile investigations and managing disputes which have attracted significant public and media scrutiny. Helen also acts as an independent chair of disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings for clients.
Helen also has particular expertise in TUPE and major outsourcing projects and has advised both public and private sector clients on the employment law aspects of significant re-procurement projects involving 100’s of employees. Helen has negotiated framework agreement often with mult0jurisdictional reach, applying to transfers of staff in various locations and countries around the world, project managing local counsel in these regions.
Helen leads on key client relationships for the firm’s substantial HE and TDM client base and clients highly rate Helen’s robust and strategic approach and service delivery. Clients have described her as “excellent – she’s calm under pressure and demonstrates excellent sector awareness and client service”.
